This place is a hole. The good kind. Their super nachos, esp the steamed chicken, are quietly and appropriately renouned. Don't come here for the seating, service, or ambiance...its a counter. Come for lots of good meat smothered in cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. Clear?

I used to live just down the street from this place. Small family run taqueria. Food has been consistent for years. Some of the best guacamole I have ever had. Not a place to go for great views. But a must for great food.

Super delicious, super filling, super reasonable price. My girlfriend and I drive from Santa Cruz every once in a while to pick up a quesadilla or burrito from this fine establishment and perfect pit stop on the way to San Francisco or back!

Really delicious food i can say that for sure. Other than that the service was quite slower than we wanted and the atmosphere was louder than we wanted.

Disgusting! You can see that from the street view but we gave it a try because we wanted a quick meal. The place is filthy from the moment you step in, extremely dirty. The guys cooking were wearing masks but constantly touching money and food items right after without sanitizing and were even wiping their own sweat. The quality of the food is terrible, just as disgusting as the place. The meat was dry, salsa had no flavor and tortillas were soggy. We ended up throwing away our food, total waste of money. The place is in serious need of a deep clean and a visit from the health department.

Look, it’s a hole in the wall taqueria, not the French Laundry. You want some no frills delicious food at a good price, come here. If you don’t like the paint, seating, or lack of restroom? Then get the food to go. You want the real experience? Grab a burrito and a cerveza and chat with the people next to you. It’s worth it.

HUGE fan of Mexican food.I can eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. I came here a few weeks ago and I really liked the food. It was authentic and also reasonably priced. The only issue was the service was pretty slow. No one paid attention to us because they were to busy chit chatting.

Great place to eat if you want a not so super burrito or quesadilla. Expect your order to constantly be made incorrectly..... It took four different missed orders in a row before it brought me to the point of leaving reviews on all of Yelp TripAdvisor and Google about this place because I'm tired of it.

Delicious! When ever I'm on the coast in El Granada or Half Moon Bay, El Gran amigo in Moss Beach is a good decision I'm my opinion. But I've noticed coastside taquerias don't use cilantro.. that's all. I love it, I go there. I won't say why only four stars, that's not your business.

Best burritos in highway 1

On 8/7/19, we ordered Burritos, Enchiladas, and Carne Asada Nachos and they were all good. Prices were reasonable. We ate in the restaurant and received free nachos and salsa, which were tasty and great! Place is dated and may turn-off some people

Large yummy portions, with some outside seating so the dogs could sit under the table.

Aesthetically(exterior),looks like a shot up building. But the food? Awesome and decently priced.

The food was amazing. The staff only speaks Spanish but they have pictures of everything so you can point to order if needed.

The super nacho with BBQ Pork was absolutely top notch. The fresh salsa and chips was great. Friendly, fast service and huge portions ate low prices. These guys know what they are doing! Stop if you get the chance, I'll be back!

I absolutely love authentic Mexican food and this place has the perfect food for that. They are a bit pricey and are very busy so be prepared to wait quite some time.

Great service and the food was authentic. Also cheap. I got a Carnitas torta super delicious and husband got 3 tacos de al pastor and he went back for 2 more (they are not small street tacos)
